Dating from 1640, Mr Foggs was originally a blacksmith’s house with his smithy next door, and another small adjacent cottage. The random stone walls were built with ancient rocks stolen from original Roman structures around the village and the bent oak ceiling beams date from the sixteenth century.
Over the years Mr Foggs was changed into a single house, with the addition of the kitchen downstairs and a modern bathroom on the first floor, it has become a truly beautiful cottage.
Original Artwork hangs on every wall, carefully selected fabrics enhance the tastefully selected furniture.
Although perfect for that quiet candle lit dinner for 2 , the dining table can seat 6/8 people .
There are 8 sets of glassware, crockery ,and cutlery thus enabling you to entertain your friends whilst staying with us.
The fully fitted kitchen has an electric oven with induction hob, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, fridge and freezer, sink with adjacent dishwasher and washing machine with dryer all with ample cupboard space.
The quiet location, tranquil décor and our ultra-comfortable super king-sized bed will guarantee you an amazing night’s sleep.
Egyptian cotton fitted sheets and duvet, large wardrobe, dressing table, full-length mirror, TV, CD and wifi.
Rejuvenate in our huge walk-in shower (for 2 people at least!), soak in the double-ended freestanding bath. Basin with large mirror over. WC, dressing table and full-length mirror.
